GENERAL CONDITIONS
MANDATORY
The pigeons must be vaccinated against paramyxovirosis within 20 days prior to shipment, and must be between 45/60 days old. This protocol is very important and the participants must be aware of it. However, the organization will carry out the complete revaccination protocol upon arrival. The pigeons must be accompanied by the title of ownership and pedigree in their shipment or within the next 30 days by mail.
REGISTRATION
The reception of the pigeons will take place from May 1st to August 15th, 2024. National or international pigeons with a 2024 ring may participate. The pigeons will be checked and quarantined upon reception. Places will be granted in order of registrations receipt, these will be guaranteed once the teams have been registered, either by completing the registration form on our website marismas.net or by sending it to the email alberto@marismas.net . Once the form as been sent a deposit of 500 euro from each registred team will be required within 15 days to guarantee the place in the loft. TEAMS AND PRICES
Each team will be composed of 10 pigeons, price of the “perch” per pigeon is 150€ * (1500€* the team), two additional pigeons can be sent at no cost in anticipation of any loss. *As established by the current legislation, these prices will be increased with 21% VAT for national customers and those foreigners whitout an intra-community VAT number. In this concept, the organization assumes, all the expenses derived from their care, feeding, trainings, races, etc. This amount must be paid within 30 days of sending the pigeons. All pigeons returning from the activation race, in January 2025, must pay within 10 days an additional amount of 150€ per pigeon ( no VAT surcharge apply). The total amout collected from the activation race will be used for prizes. For your convenience we offer exclusive transport of your pigeons from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands at a cost of 25 € per pigeon. The home collection dates will be published on our website.
WARNING
In case the activation is not paid by the owner within the indicated period, the organization will assume all the rights of the unpaid pigeons (prizes and value of these at auction), being offered so that other people can activate them with all their rights. If for any reason it is necessary to postpone, suspend or vary the conditions of holding any training or race, the organisation reserves the right to do so. The organisation of the Derby will not be responsible for possible thefts or accidents that may occur during the scheduled events.

6. Race: 300 km - 1 March 2025
7. Race: 350 km - 8 March 2025
8. Race: 400 km - 15 March 2025
9. Race: 250 km - 22 March 2025
10. Race: 500 km (Final Race) - 29 March 2025
PIGEONS FOR AUCTION
All pigeons returning from the Final Race will be auctioned on international platforms. The organisation has an agreement with the prestigious Belgian auction house Pipa, the rest will be offered for sale (auctioned) at another reference house. In all cases the owner (discounting the value of the photograph, transport, DNA and commission of the auction house) will receive 50% of the collected value.
PRIZES
1. Master Fancier
The coveted title of ‘Master Pigeon Fancier’ will be awarded to the participant with the shortest accumulated flying time of his first 2 pigeons over the ten-race series. The journey to become Master Fancier concludes after the Final Race.
2. Final Race
The Grand Final! All pigeons that successfully reach the Final race will compete for coveted prizes in a race that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
3. Absolute Ace Pigeon
The determination of the Absolute Ace Pigeon will be based on the accumulated flight time of the pigeons in the 10 races. This competition will identify the pigeon that shines the most over the ten races.
4. Ace Sprint Pigeon
The As Sprint competition will start with a 75 km race (activation race) and culminates with the sixth race of 300 km. The pigeons will accumulate flight time during these races.
5. Weekly Winner
This award will be won by the team whose first three pigeons in that week accumulate the shortest race time. The prizes are calculated based on 1334 activated and paid pigeons. If this amount is exceed or not reached, the cash prizes will be increased or reduced in a directly proportional way. The corresponding amount of taxes will be withheld from the prizes according to the current spanish legislation.
